When launched, the DT 180 was the only truly trail motorcycle option in Brazil. It has Mono-Cross mono-cushioned rear suspension, a great evolution over the TT 125's double-cushioned rear suspension. The DT 180 also has exhaust that passes over the engine, high and safe against water and dirt ingress. Its 2 stroke engine of 176.4cc 3 provides great performance, with good torque at low rpm and a good power of 16.6hp at 8,000rpm. As well as the RD and RX line, the DT 180 was launched with Torque Induction, which provides an increase in torque at low rpm and sensible fuel economy.
